Berry Red & Turquoise Sunburst Handmade Batik Scarf in Organic Cotton - Long

Measurements for this scarf are approximately 72" x 13"  

The galactic design for this intriguing scarf began with a turquoise dye bath, then the batik was immersed overnight into a hand mixed berry red.

This soft fabric was handwoven with organic cotton before I created the batik design.  There are natural variations in the weave.  My vigorous batik process ensures the strength of the fiber, which means you can machine was this. 

For this scarf I turned the edges twice over, and sewed them closed with organic cotton thread before painting the design.  I use pure beeswax and manually boil each piece clean before washing and drying.

Fabric: 100% organic cotton

Washing instructions: Machine wash is best, then tumbled dry low until damp and hang to dry to shape.
